To enjoy your PurrMobile eSIM, make sure your device meets these simple requirements:

  • It supports eSIM functionality.
  • It's not carrier-locked or network-locked.
  • It's not jailbroken (iOS) or rooted (Android).

You can check our list below to see if your device is eSIM-compatible. Please note that some regional models may not support eSIMs.

eSIM Compatibility Notice

eSIM support can vary depending on your device model, region, and carrier. Before activation, double-check with your carrier or manufacturer that your device is eSIM-capable.

  • Apple: iPhones from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao generally don't support eSIM (except certain Mini and SE models). In Turkey, devices set up after June 23, 2020 activate automatically; earlier setups may require a reset. Only Wi-Fi + Cellular iPads support eSIM.
  • Samsung: Galaxy devices from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as most FE models (except S23 FE and S24 FE) and U.S. versions of S20, S21, and Note 20 Ultra lack eSIM support. Most South Korean variants also do not support eSIM, except for newer flagship models.
  • Huawei: Devices from China and the P40 Pro+ don't support eSIM.
  • Google: Pixel 3 and 3a models from certain regions and carriers (Australia, Taiwan, Japan, some U.S./Canada/Southeast Asia variants) don't support eSIM.
  • Other Brands (Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Honor, Motorola, Nokia, Sharp, Sony, Rakuten, Hammer): eSIM availability depends on carrier and region; some models only support eSIM in select countries (e.g., Japan, Europe).
  • Microsoft & Windows Devices: AT&T-locked Surface models don't support eSIM; other carriers may also disable it. Windows PCs must run Windows 10 version 1703 or later and include LTE capability.
